It would be remiss of us not to express our thanks for the work carried out on our garden. We are really pleased, not just with the end result, but with the manner in which the work was completed.

We appreciated Lees Promptness in attending all his initial appointments, and also that he kept us informed of when the work would begin. Once underway, Lee and his team stayed with the project to completion.

All materials for the job seemed to arrive in good time(usually 7.30am) on the day that they were required, and all rubbish was removed before the end of each days work.

This was a big project, on rising land, involving the redesign of the whole of the garden. As a result we now have a garden that we can maintain, and above all we have a view from the patio doors that we can enjoy for a long time to come.

Whilst considering renewing the front drive of my house the nightmare of choosing a company that I had no experience of loomed. I contacted a few getting quotes from two. I was immediately put at ease by Lee of L & M Landscapes with his professional and friendly approach. I had ideas and Lee listened then suggested some of his ideas. Consolidating on both he went away and provided a CAD drawing of the design. He had estimated approximately 7 working days to block pave a drive of 65m² with a border and build a wall to one side with two drive entrance pillars which seemed to be a fare estimate.

As organised, he arrived on the day we had set and started the overwhelming task of clearing the drive, trust me, it was a real mess. The friendly and professional manner continued with Lee staying on site throughout the duration.

The work was all complete by the 7th working day as we had organised. The finish is to a very high standard which I am very happy and content with. The block paving is the most level I have seen which I have now been using for three weeks. It is finished off with a very well constructed and pointed wall. The quoted price was reasonable in comparison to others but for the finished product it was a very good price for such workmanship. If we move house we would certainly contact Lee and his team again for another drive. Many neighbours have questioned me on who did such a nice drive.

L & M Landscapes recently undertook the job of removing our old patio area and relaying/redesigning the new patio area.

Lee and the team did an excellent job and were reliable and trustworthy.
The job was completed with the minimum of disruption to ourselves and they left our property clean and tidy throughout the entire time they were working on the project.

My wife and I approached L&M Landscapes on recommendation from a friend and now have no hesitation in recommending them to others following a recent project. 

Lee provided a great consultancy service from the outset, listening to our initial ideas and concepts, and helping us to design a garden which was just right for us.  All costs, including labour and materials were clearly explained and agreed up-front before work commenced. 

The plan involved a full-scale renovation of our back garden including the construction of a substantial patio with lighting, a lawned area, large decking with water feature and a planted border.  It extended to a paved area down one side of the house and the construction of a new feature rockery on our front driveway. 

Although the job took approximately one week longer than originally planned, the team worked around atrocious weather conditions and finished the project at no additional cost.

We were involved and consulted throughout the project often resulting in last minute modifications when we changed our mind.  Their flexible and friendly approach sets them apart from others.  We were briefed each night on progress achieved that day and plans for the next. 

Whilst completing the project, the team were never intrusive, treating both us and our home with great respect.  It was a pleasure doing business with the team from L&M, who we are now happy to consider as friends.

What a wonderful experience and one that I would love to have all over again, but I cannot foresee ever leaving this garden as Lee, his father and employee have given me the garden that I have always wanted.

Right from the initial phone call the professionalism, honesty and understanding of L & M shone through. Lee made an appointment and at our first meeting I knew that he instantly understood what I wanted. The important thing for me was that the company that I employed had to respect my existing garden and much loved plants but still be able to give me a garden that met my needs. Since working full time I hadn’t the time to dedicate to my garden and the existing lay out wasn’t giving me what I wanted, a garden to relax and socialise in but also to be able to potter and enjoy it all, without feeling that it is a chore.

Lee returned with a drawing and a quotation that was within my budget. I felt that I could completely trust them to do the work while I was at my work and this proved to be the case. Each evening Lee phoned me to give me a progress report, which wasn’t really necessary as every evening I was delighted with the amount of work that had been done and it was really exciting to see the progress every day. Lee also let me know what they were doing the next day and we were always on the same wavelength regarding the appropriate bricks and paving etc. I trusted them and their judgement and it paid off.

At the end of the job Lee’s father supplied two beautiful Acers and box spirals, which really completed the garden and still kept me within my budget. I wanted to do the planting and since they have left it has been a joy to work in the garden again and to enjoy the suntrap, which was previously blocked by the existing shed. 

I have no hesitation in recommending L & M. They are truly professional, honest, trust worthy and above all understand plants and what a garden should be. They kept to our schedule and completed on time, on budget and in full.  My needs were met completely and it was an absolute joy to deal with L & M.

Iam pleased to place on record my satisfaction with the excellent work carried out recently by L & M Landscapes.

The challenge involved a range of services including landscaping, brickwork and the laying of an extensive stone patio area. From the first exploratory visit to task finalization the work was carried out in a timely and exemplary manner to the highest standard of quality and accuracy. Changes to the design specification during the work were always addressed and resolved in a timely and cheerful manner.

In January this year we finally decided to have our garden landscaped, the garden itself is not a large garden plot and it was split onto two levels with a drop of about three foot with steps leading up to a very shoddy lawn what we really wanted was a totally flat courtyard type garden with a curving wall border on the left and right of the garden leading into a water feature in the centre.

Not knowing any landscapers at all but understanding that a immense amount of ground work was needed i scanned the yellow pages looking for someone local who had a web site set up and running with examples of their work.

Lucky for me L & M landscapers had a web site and advertised the very work i needed doing.

After a phone call Lee called in the evening with his portfolio of other gardens, asked what we wanted and then arranged to call back at the weekend to get a good idea of the work entailed .

We gave Lee a general idea of the work and the effect we wanted but gave a free hand in the actual design and layout of the garden. Lee came back with a design and samples of brick and cobbles plus ideas for the water design he also gave a guaranteed quote for the work, which he never went over and he never haggled over hidden extras which cropped up as the build developed.

To say we are happy with L & M is an understatement they transformed a very grotty garden into a place of beauty and refuge, we decided to add lights to our garden and lee supplied an excellent electrician and evan suggested the web site to order good quality garden lights from.

All in all iam extremely pleased with both lees can do attitude and his excellent build quality, together with his father who is his working partner with a wealth of landscaping knowledge i cannot recommend this partnership highly enough.

My wife and I first met Lee some weeks ago when we engaged him to construct a new patio for us. We were impressed with the way he presented himself and the way he took note of what we had in mind.

On the appointed date, he commenced work, well prepared and organised with the chosen area well marked out. Lee and his father are a good team and worked well together, each knowing his designated task.

The stone was very carefully laid with special attention to levels and random patterns with varying colours. We were absolutely delighted with the final result - excellent!

Although we have not known Lee very long, we were very impressed with the pride he takes in his work and the high standard of craftsmanship he maintained. Honest and trustworthy, Lee and his father are careful, neat and tidy workers who more than lived up to our expectation.

L & M Landscapes have recently carried out a major amount of work at the above address. This Work consisted of the installation of land drainage, the removal of old turf and its replacement with new high quality turf, the replacement of garden walls, the replacement of existing paving and the construction of a new patio.

The main driveway was also replaced and widened with block paving and drainage.

The start of the work was unavoidably delayed due to appalling weather, but throughout that time I was kept informed of the potential new start date.

The work started promptly on the new date and the team turned up on site each day at the time agreed. The work to be carried out was complex and made less than easy by the fact that most of the site didn’t lend itself to the use of machinery and a larder amount of heavy work had to be carried out manually.

This did not affect in any way the cheerful and effective way the team carried out the heavy work involved.The work was completed by the promised date and to a very high standard.

To say that I am pleased with the result is an understatement - the work has really made a difference to the garden and the new paving and patio will add greatly to the enjoyment of being outside in the garden.

I have no hesitation in recommending L & M Landscapes and the service they offer from design to completion is excellent and I would certainly employ them again should the occasion arise.
